Who We Are

MEP Estimating approaches its 4th generation in the mechanical trades with decades of physical hands on experience.  We have designed and modified engineered mechanical systems to improve efficiency and lower installation expenses.

Our first office

Our history dates back to the early 1940’s when grandfather Dupointe started a range and fuel oil business located in in the small town of Pascoag, Rhode Island. At that time the company delivered block ice for refrigerators and range oil in 5-gallon cans to their customers’ kitchens.

The company continued its growth and became known as Dupane Associated Companies. For decades it continued its service-based company to serve all of Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut. Frank Dupointe, now president of MEP ESTIMATING, was there in the late 1960’s on front line bringing unprecedented leading-edge computerization including onboard computers in the service vehicles and delivery trucks and 4 remote computerized satellite offices with staffing of over 70 people. The company grew with the rapid improving technology of all mechanical equipment and systems while servicing its commercial and industrial facilities customers with bid and spec and design build projects.

Today, Frank Dupointe and MEP ESTIMATING continues that same tradition of quality driven by the necessity of accuracy, along with that “hard to find experience and expertise” in mechanical estimating – which has always been the driving force of any company’s growth.

MEP Estimating was established knowing the absolute need for quality professional takeoffs of projects at an affordable price. Firms no longer have the time to meet the needs and demands for these services. MEP Estimating can do budgets, detailed costing including but not limited to manpower leveling, accurate count takeoffs, ductwork, piping, boilers, heat exchangers, air handlers, packaged rooftop units, fans, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and controls from the project plans. MEP has a comprehensive team to meet your very need be it structural, mechanical, electrical and control engineering as well as architectural design. We are capable to level subcontractor and equipment quotations and produce project schedules.
